The community is for the sharing of information and sources about HM Corps of Marines. It was created as a collection point for such information after a challenge was given by ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
latin_cat to sharpiefan and myself to write a paper (or a book!) about the Marines from the American Revolution to the end of the Napoleonic Wars.
So, in essence, the goal of this community is to make the production of such a work easier. Our chosen period is from 1770 to 1815, and concerns nearly every aspect of the Marine Corps during those years. Or at least everything we can reasonably research about.
